About Casper
Casper is a black spottet dalmatian male, born march 2008 in Denmark, at Kennel Curia. His mother is from the Netherlands, her name is Nova, and his father is Norwegian, Dalmo’s Educated Edgar (International, Norwegian and Swedish Show Champion).
Edgar died many years ago, so therefore I never got to meet him, but Nova I have of course met many times and she was a lovely lady (died 2016).
Casper is a wonderful dog, with a sweet and mild temper, he never makes any fuss and he can be taken anywhere to do anything. Also, he has a great smile! 🙂 And as a bonus to his sweet temper he is also beautiful on the outside. I could not ask for more in a dog, and I doubt that any future dog will be able to fill his place, I think that he is my “once in a lifetime” dog.
In 2015 he was diagnosed with prolapses in his back and neck (4 in total). This has forced me to retire him from activities like kickbiking and skiing, but he is still a very happy dog and we have adjusted to this new way of life. In 2018 he was neutered due to a benign tumor. Sadly he never sired any litters. He mated two bitches but neither had any puppies. His sperm was alive and kicking, but the circumstances where less than optimal. Well, maybe it was for the best, his back problems is probably not hereditary, but then again, there is no way of knowing, best not to take any chances.
